Rabbi Moshe Aharon Pinto Shlita – Shares with us how both the most recent weekly parash (Re’eh) and it’s relation to the upcoming month of Elul which is one month before Rosh Hashana. This month is meant to be used to prepare for the upcoming year through change and teshuva (repentance). The Rabbi talks about how the Zohar tells us how we can focus on rectifying the “original sin” of Adam and Eve – fixing our eyes. This is the shortcut to rectifying all our subsequent sins both globally and personally. This simplifies what can be viewed as a very complicated process of teshuva during the month of Elul and the High Holidays that follow.
