KLM A Pesach Epiphany of Freedom, Amaze the Angels and The 4 Cups

Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares with us some ways on how to have kavanah (intent) when we celebrate Pesach (Passover) this year. Also, he has some free giveaways available to help us enjoy the Seder.

Personal Thoughts – I enjoy learning about the many aspects of every mitzvah I do. My goal is to get closer to my Creator and my challenge is how to not always just to stay focused on the action (mitzvah) but the intent of why I’m doing it in the first place.

Pre-Pesach Constructing our Edifice for Freedom

Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz – Shares how to we are preparing for Passover through the additional weekly Torah readings (called Parshiot).

Personal Thoughts – The Rabbi really had a nice way of presenting how we can work on our base character traits towards the service of Hashem (deconstructing and then reconstructing).

Purim Sameach and Shabbat Shalom!

Rabbi Trugman (Pre-Purim Class Gal Einai Students) – Shares with us some interesting details about Purim.

Personal Thoughts – I liked the analogy/comparison of the Purim “characters” with the “characters” of the Garden of Eden at the very beginning of the Torah in Berashit.

KLM Practical Steps How to Increase Joy in Adar

Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shows us concrete steps on how we can actually increase your joy in the month of Adar and fulfill four separate mitvot in the process.

Personal Thoughts – To be honest, sometimes its just not that easy to be happy. Living my way into better thinking through actions (a.k.a. fake it until you make it) is on way to do it. Just do it – be happy!

Chanukah Insights and Bringing Light into the Darkness

Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz shares many deep aspects of Chanukah and the way in which we celebrate it today.

Personal Thoughts: Towards the end of the video (starting at the 1:01:00 time mark), the Rabbi discusses the way we used to commemorate Chanukah (the military victory) closer to the actual miracle versus later on (and today of course) that we more commemorate the miracle of the oil. I find this transition very interesting – I hope you will too.

HISTORY OF THE CHANUKAH RECORD – Talmud on Chanukah

Rabbi Levi Y. gives us some scriptural sources for Chanukah (which is uniquely different than other Jewish Holidays due to it’s absence in the Mishna).

Personal Thoughts: I personally enjoy learning the scriptural sources for the Jewish Holidays – where they are discussed, what date they were written about in relation to the actual occurence date, and the thinking of the time of why they were treated in that specific way scriptually. The beginning of the video is a discussion on Chasidic thought but at about the 9:20 mark of the video it gets into the Chanukah discussion. Enjoy!

Chanukah

Chanukah – Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – shares how to make this years Chanukah more meaningful and relevant to your life today.

Personal Thoughts: This video really helped me appreciate Chanukah – not only for explaining how many mitzvot are within lighting the Menorah, saying the blessings, and even singing “Maoz Tzur”. This new perspective will help me celebrate Chanukah with more joy, kavanah, and simcha. Hope you get a lot out of it as well. Chag Chanukah Sameach!
