Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shows us the simple path to doing the easy mitzva of mezuzah and how to get the most out of it. Not so much effort in the physical sense but instead making “intentional” effort in the mental sense yielding great benefits and those benefits can lead to a stronger spiritual connection to Hashem individually and collectively.
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – On these two short videos Rabbi Wegbreit shares with us on how we can greet others and listen to the Torah reading on receiving the Torah both with kavanah (intent) to help elevate our Shavuot experience and connect to Hashem.
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares how we can watch the news for good and replace the helpless feelings of being a nervous and anxious bystander to instead empower ourselves individually and collectively as Jews by doing three mitzvot directly from the Torah itself (C.P.R. – Care, Prayer, Repair). We often say, “What can I do? I feel powerless and helpless.” This video gives us a great answer – do C.P.R. and please share it with others!
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares how we can elevate the Pesach song Dayenu on this coming up Seder! We are “paid” by Hashem for our mitzvot – not only for actions, not only for speech, but also for thoughts. Dayenu!
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares how we can prepare for Purim before it starts and plan out intention in advance. This will result in a more meaningful and connected experience. More bang for your spiritual buck! Also see the extra bonus post attachments to reference.
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares how we can orient our thinking towards living the mitzvot with simcha (happiness) both during the good times and the bad. Our hardships actually extend from Hashem’s love for us and for our highest good (even if it doesn’t feel like it).
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares some nice illustrations on how to connect with Hashem and four examples of when the opportunity to connect is at its highest.
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – In this video, the Rabbi shows us how we can actually do something for Hashem (which seems kind of weird). We can “help” him by publicizing the miracle(s) of Chanukah by lighting our Chanukias (Menorahs). This lighting shows others that we are testifying that Hashem did this miracles for us. The next key the Rabbi reveals is we also need to understand ourselves that we are publicizing the miracle(s) instead of just lighting for lighting sake. So if we understand and we show others than we more fulfill our role in the Chanukah miracle(s) and our places in the story as well.
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares with us a way we can thank Hashem for all the good He bestows upon us and the subsequent connection that results from that thanks. Rabbi Wegbreit details a hypothetical situation of when you ask your Father for financial help to help one of your family members going through a health crisis and once the crisis passes you send your Father a telegram of thanks for his help. This can parallel our gratitude and thanks to Hashem when he gets us or those close to us through a crisis we can also send Him a thank you telegram by saying Tehillim Kuf (Psalm #100) with a sense of gratitude and thanks. By developing this two-way relationship with Hashem we can grow a deeper connection to Hashem (aka Devekut) which is an essential purpose of our life. Feel free to watch the Rabbi’s short video to get the whole story (~16 minutes).
Please note – Rabbi Wegbreit gave me permission to let our viewship know that in the video he mentioned both Tehillim Kuf (Psalm #100) and Tehillim Kuf Yud (Psalm #110) however Rabbi Wegbreit meant Tehillim Kuf (Psalm #100) in all cases for this video.
