Rabbi Mendel Kessin – This video is actually almost 20 years old but the content really gives a very clear picture of why Lashon Hara (Evil Speech) is so destructive to us individually and also collectively as a Jewish people. The benefits of overcoming this insidious disease will help free us. The truth will really set us free!

Personal Thoughts – The video production and presentation is a bit distracting but the concrete clarity of the message was very educational for me. If you can look past those distractions (maybe even best just to listen to the audio only) it was a very good lecture. I’ve listened to some of Rabbi Kessin’s more current lectures and will try to post some in the future.

Personal Thoughts – Sometimes I look towards complicated ways to solve my personal problems and other problems as well. Rabbi Kalmus shows us such a simple approach on how to bring one of most important revelations this World will ever know. Simplicity is best!

Personal Thoughts – Growing up secular it was not until later in life that I realized how much “stuff” that I watched really affects me today. On the other topic, I am grateful for my parents for pretty much raising me in a racist-free environment which blessed me to find my culturally different wife (hope this helps bring Moshiach).

Introductory Overview to Studying Halachah (Jewish Law)

Rabbi Avraham Meyer Zajac – This video is a very clear explanation of the development and the codification of Jewish Law (Halachah) from the Torah to the beginning of Chabad (246 years ago).

Personal Thoughts – I’ve been looking to start studying Halachah (Jewish Law) by learning two Halachot per day. However, my preferred method is to watch videos as I absorb the material better that way. However, looking around I don’t see much and certainly not much in an organized fashion. Rabbi Zajac and Chabad have a very organized video series methodology which shows also by how well this particular video presents the introduction. This viewpoint is the Halachah as expounded upon by the first Rebbe of Chabbad (the Alter Rebbe, R’ Schneur Zalman of Liadi).
