Rabbi David Kaplan – Shares about this week’s upcoming Torah reading on Shabbat. The Rabbi explains what Lech Lecha means – 1. To move signifying how Jews during our history are always on the move in exile. 2. Lech (lich luch) means dirt – that Jews should always move away from dirt of the secular life we are surrounded by. 3. Lech – that Jews should constantly grow in our observance, grow on in our relationship with Hashem.
Rabbi Pinto – Shares how when the World was created and Adam Harishon sinned by eating from the Tree of Good and Bad – there were root souls scattered all over. Those souls ended up in various different things – both inanimate and living. Each righteousness person that came after that (Chanoch, Noach, Shem, Avraham Avinu, Yitzchak Avinue, Yaakov Avinu, Yoseph Hatzadik, Moshe Rabbeinu) had a role in trying rectify that initial and foundational sin and “re-gather” those lost souls. This video explains in a fascinating way that process from a kabbalistic point of view and how this week’s Torah portion (Lech Lecha) that introduces the first patriarch of the Jewish people (Avraham Avinu) furthers this viewpoint. Also, how we today are continuing that process which will culminate in our personal and collective redemption.
Bringing Hashem into every aspect of your life is the foundation of a life filled with blessing. Every moment with a focus on Hashem is the purpose of creation. Distraction away from this focus is a major source of our personal and collective problems.
Rabbi Trugman – Shares about the concept of the upper waters and lower waters which was discussed in the Holy Zohar (the source book of Kabbalah) and can also be found in the Torah portion we read this upcoming Shabbat (Noach).

Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky – In the middle of this video, Rabbi Orlofsky shares about how important it is to have a general life mission statement and to spend time formulating it before you need so to speak. This will help is making small and large decisions in a non-random (I’ll figure it out when I get there) way. The Rabbi really shows how important this is to live a life that is consistent and principled yet give us listeners to formulate based on our own personal input. This can save us a lot of future headache and heartache.
Rabbi Sinclair – Shares a powerful story about the age old question of “Where Is God?” and why nobody is looking for him. Now more than ever – we can find Him in the place He has been all along – the map for this journey is the Torah – for Jews and mankind in general. Rabbi Sinclair says at the end of this short video, “Every time you do a mitzvah you light a candle in this dark World and every time you learn Torah you flood the World with light.”
Rabbi Mendel Kessin – Shares a review of the Jewish holidays we are in the midst of and how they all fit together up to and including the next holiday of Sukkot. The intracacies and depth of this discussion can change our limited perspective on what this means for our entire (next) year or even our lifetime. Important information to avoid the World’s distractions and focus on what’s important – connection with Hashem. Chag Sameach!
Rabbi Trugman – Shares the numerical equivalent (gematria) of the four species of the upcoming Jewish holiday of Sukkot is equal to the Shma Yisroel prayer. How are these related? In the process of holding these four species together we are uniting Hashem’s name to myself and the World at large.

Charlie Harary – Shares an analogy between what is written in the Torah when Am Yisroel (the Jewish People) left Egypt (the Exodus) and Amalek came to fight them. Moshe Rabbeinu went to the top of the mountain overlooking the fight and when he raised his hands towards heaven the Jews were victorious and when his hands dropped Amalek began to win. This is similar to our current times when Iran send missiles towards Israel the day before Rosh Hashanah which caused the Jewish people to look up towards the heavens, towards Hashem, and not one Jew was killed. As Yom Kippur approaches, the most important teshuva (repentance) we can do is to choose to be on Team Hashem and all that this entails. Choose the winning team!
