Pirkei Avot – Chapter 3
Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi – Shares some really interesting insight and stories about the Pirkei Avot chapter we read this Shabbat. (Each week during the summer months our Rabbis instituted learning chapters of Mishna to fill the extra time we have during the long summer Shabbatot).
Personal Thoughts – Although this lecture took place several years ago the content really brings this Pirkei Avot chapter alive and relevant to everyday life. Sometimes learning these Mishnaot can be somewhat dry but Rabbi Mizrachi brings them alive with his concise explanations and colorful stories.

Close Your Eyes, Awaken Emunah
Emunah (Faith) – Rabbi Dovid Yisroel Kalmus – shares how to find Emunah in the darkness and how Hashem is everywhere but we also have free will (paradox).
Personal Thoughts: Interesting concepts in this video like why do we have more desires for tivahs (bad thoughts/actions – like over-eating, trouble seek behavior) at night as opposed to day. Also, learned how to deal with the paradox of having free will vs. Hashem knowing how everything will turn out and how to avoid getting lost in this spiritually. Deep stuff! Hope you enjoy it.
