Rabbi Mendel Kessin – In this audio shiur, Rabbi Kessin tells us the good news and bad news of our current times and that we are certainly currently in the last stage birth pains of Moshiach.
Personal Thoughts – Some of the content is tough to digest but especially during the Three Weeks the end result will be the Jewish People’s redemption and a new era – exciting times indeed!
Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz – Shares about the weekly parasha (Balak) and how Bilaam the protagonist who wants to curse the Jews ends up blessing them instead.
Personal Thoughts – I liked how Rabbi Breitowitz gives a lot of background spiritually and practically for the events in this weekly parasha to help better understand how it affects us both then and today.
Rabbi Trugman – Shares with us a great synopsis of what the Three Weeks are about (both what happened historically during this period of time and the customs we observe now).
Personal Thoughts – Many people have asked me in the past to explain the Three Weeks – what they mean, what happened, and why it matters. This video lecture gives a good concise explanation. Yesterday started the period of the Three Weeks, so if things tend to lean negative there is a spiritual explanation for it.
Rabbi Trugman – Shares with us some deep esoteric wisdom derived from this week’s parasha (Balak) and the protagonist figure in it (Bilaam).
Personal Thoughts – The Rabbi brings some interesting parallels between science and Torah in this short lesson – I particularly liked the analogy of the movie film / time paradox.
Rabbi Zev Leff – As we approach the 17th of Tammuz (which is a fast day) which is the start of the Three Weeks of mourning for the loss of so many things in Judaism most namely the Beit Hamikdash (the Holy Temple in Jerusalem), the Rabbi explains that Torah is meant to be shared to all of Am Yisroel (the Nation of Israel) not only freely but as an obligation. Without sharing half of Judaism is incomplete. Share the love, share the Torah!
Personal Thoughts – Rabbi Leff basically encompassed the entire reason behind why I started this video blog (www.torah-share.com) and expressed it way better than I ever could. Please share!
Rabbi Dovid Kaplan – Weekly parasha shiur (lecture) with some deep learning about life’s choices woven in to the narrative. Our speech makes us human for good and for bad.
Personal Thoughts – Just found this Rabbi on YouTube and enjoyed his clear, specific, and plain explanations of some deep concepts.
Rabbi David Yisrael Kalmus – In the second live class in Eretz Yisroel (in Be’er Sheva) the Rabbi lists off five distinct areas that can initiate a paradigm shift in how we view our life and reality in general to enact an overall better worldview. This can change our mood, our direction, our purpose, and our life!
Personal Thoughts – Really enjoyed the summation of these practical steps to personal spiritual freedom! I’ve personally enacted many of these principles in my life over the past year with great results. Costs nothing to try and can yield great spiritual benefits.
Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz – Shares about the weekly parasha (Chukat) and the deep meaning of the unexplainable commandment of the Red Cow.
Personal Thoughts – Enjoyed the background stories of this sometimes very complicated and dry subject matter to make it interesting which increased my desire to learn about it.
Shulchan Aruch, Din M’kom Hanachasan v’Ofan Hanachasan 27:20:
