Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi – Shares about how Jewish Law views suicide and its implications. We learn from the story of young Jews who were captured by the Romans and were about to be sent to Rome to be abused by their captors and they asked a Tanna (a Rabbi leader of that generation) whether they will still have a share in the World to come if they commit suicide instead of be being abused by their captors and he replied yes. We deduce from this that in other cases Jewish law forbids suicide since life is given by Hashem and only He can take it from us. To see exceptions to this law (and there are quite a few) please view the video.
Rabbi Avraham Meyer Zajac – Within decribing one of the halachas (laws) of tefillin, the Rabbi shares with us about both letter Shins on the head tefillin and their deeper meanings as it relates to Kabalah and Chassidus – one representing the essence of G-dliness that never changes and one representing the revelation of G-dliness that constantly changes. Deep stuff! Hope you enjoy it.
Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares great insight on how to deal with Tragedy in a positive productive way by changing how we behave.
Personal Thoughts – Lashon Hara (translated loosely as “evil speech”) is a tough nut to crack due to habit – this simple approach seems more doable then most other ways and can make a real change.
Rabbi David Kalmus – Shares how everything both good and bad is all within G-d’s plan which is for our ultimate good.
Personal Thoughts – Our greatest sufferings gives birth to our greatest personal revelations. Really also enjoyed the analogy of the seven parts of the face to the Menorah.
