Yahrzeit – 4 Tamuz 5781 (ד׳ תמוז תשפ״א) – Dr. Milton Raskin -מנדל אברהם בן ישראל

Today is the Yahrzeit of my Uncle (Dr. Milton Raskin – מנדל אברהם בן ישראל) who was niftar (passed on) one year ago today according to the Hebrew calendar. May his neshama have an aliyah (לעילוי נשמת).

Personal Thoughts – I never really knew my Uncle so well to be honest but in the process over the past year of saying kaddish for him everyday in Shul (the Synagogue) I got to know him more, spiritually speaking. Hoping his neshama has an aliyah (his spirit reaches greater heights).

Special prayer for the 23rd of Sivan (today)

Rabbi Alon Anava – On the 23rd of the month of Sivan (כג׳ סיון) the decree of Haman (At the time of Mordechai and Esther) to annihilate the Jewish nation was nullified. The holy books teach us that this day (today) is a very powerful day for prayers to nullify decrees and anything bad, evil and horrible against us.

Finding Inner Peace

Rabbi David Yisrael Kalmus – First class in Eretz Yisroel really gave some added zip to the lecture. A real treat of a lecture in less than an hour with a great question-answer session at the end. We are not in control…..Hashem is!

Personal Thoughts – This is really must see tv (not to over-hype) as he really dug deep to share with us the path to inner peace. Saw this in real time on Zoom as the time zone now fits perfectly, hope to see one in live person in the future.
