Rabbi Breitowitz – In the first few seven minutes of this video, the Rabbi shares how important honesty is in business to being a religious Jew – so much so that our Sages say that is the very first question Hashem will ask us when we pass on. Why is this the first question, why is it so important, and how is it related to our life today? There are five additional questions we will also be asked – watch the video to hear what they are.

!Short Clip! Terumah – Opportunity To Do Good | Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky

Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky – Explains why the Aron (where the luchos – ten commandments were kept) was made of wood covered in gold and not solid gold. The Jews had enough money to make it solid gold like the menorah and it was the holiest of objects. Even if was heavy it could still carry itself like it did when necessary. It was so we can participate and carry the Aron not because it needs us – just like we can participate in Torah. Torah will continue without us, the Jewish people will continue without us – but we benefit and need to participate to keep us going.

!Short Clips! KLM: Word for the Shabbos Table and Mitzvah for Life: A Surprising Path for Spiritual Growth with Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit

Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit – Shares about how to attain a mitzvah (good deed) by not doing something. Seems counter-intuitive since we tend to associate attaining a mitzvah when we actively participate in doing something positive, but Rabbi Wegbreit shows us how we can attain the same status as having have done a mitzvah by not doing something. The key is intention that we are aware we are not doing something for reasons of Hashem’s will. For example, you pass a car is unlocked and running and consciously say to yourself that I am NOT going to steal it and/or take it for a ride and I’m doing a mitzvah by doing Hashem’s will by not doing this.

Q&A – Physicality, Purpose & End of the Amidah (Rabbi Dovid Gottleib) (Jewish Philosophy)

Rabbi Dovid Gottleib – Answers various questions from Ohr Sameach students about Jewish Philosophy. One question in particular around the 14:00 minute mark of the video, focuses on what Rabbi Dessler says that there are the goals that we are meant to achieve in this World and separately but obviously related are the means in which we are given to achieve those goals. Prayer can only be effective in the former and not the later – if we to divert ourselves for our primary goal/mission in life it won’t work but if we pray to be given the means to achieve the primary goal than those prayers are more likely to be answered.
